Marc Bean: Good with money?

My understanding is that Marc Bean failed to pay around $4,000 of payroll tax. All due to his Government consulting jobs, I would guess.

My question is, is he just bad with money, or is he trying to dodge taxes?

I haven't been able to find anything in the RG or the Sun to back up this claim. Would you be able to direct me to an appropriate link?

Thankyou

wow, my word verification is 'spitina' - I love the random near words these things generate from time to time...

Hey Douglas,

I'm still waiting for those links to back up your claim on this...

Starling,

It was on the TV news. He hadn't paid his payroll tax on his Government consulting work.

He admitted it but said he was going to resolve it because he wasn't aware he should have been.

Reminds me of Ewart not submitting either his withheld pension funds or payroll tax for his health care business until after he was caught.

I understand that that is the case, but I have been unable to follow up on that (I cannot find anything in the RG/Sun archives to date) and that was my main point. Douglas should at least have stated either in his original post or in response to my questions, that he was making his statements based on a television broadcast. That would have been sufficient.
